Can kratom orders ship to a PO box?

Written by: Author pendingReviewed by: Reviewer pendingUpdated:

Answer

Yes. USPS delivers to PO boxes, Publication 52 has no kratom restriction, and this store uses no signature service that would need a street address; the 21+ check happens at checkout, so a PO box changes nothing about who may order (Pub 52 § 1-3).

Why do some sellers refuse PO boxes?

Answer

Because they want a signature at delivery. One seller writes that it "will not ship to a P.O. Box, which is unable to acquire a signature" (one seller's shipping policy). This store does not use a signature service, so the reason does not apply.

Which carrier delivers to a PO box?

Answer

USPS. A PO box address at checkout returns USPS rates only; UPS rates require a street address. Publication 52 places no restriction on kratom in the mail (Pub 52 § 1-3).

Do the state and city checks still run?

Answer

Yes. A PO box has a city, county and state, and the validated address is checked against the state rules table and the local exclusion layer exactly as a street address is. A PO box in an excluded state or county is blocked and the jurisdiction is named.

What about APO, FPO and DPO boxes?
