Which carriers deliver kratom orders?

Written by: Author pendingReviewed by: Reviewer pendingUpdated:

Answer

USPS and UPS. USPS Publication 52 has no kratom entry and requires only compliance with non-postal law, UPS bars anything prohibited by law at origin or destination, and FedEx's terms prohibit kratom by name, so FedEx is never offered (Pub 52 § 1-3).

What does USPS say?

Answer

Publication 52, the mailability reference, has no entry for kratom, Mitragyna, kava or amanita. Section 1-3 requires mailers to comply with non-postal statutes on possession and transfer (Pub 52 § 1-3), so kratom is mailable domestically wherever state law allows it. That conclusion rests on the absence of a prohibition; the research found no Postal Service ruling specific to kratom.

What does UPS say?

Answer

Its United States prohibited-items page does not name kratom. It refuses "any goods which are prohibited by law or regulation of any federal, state, or local government in the origin or destination countries" and puts the burden on the shipper (UPS prohibited items). The full UPS tariff was not read.

What does FedEx say?

Answer

Its United States terms prohibit any substance not approved for a medical use by FDA that DEA lists as a drug or chemical of concern, "including, but not limited to, kratom and Salvia divinorum" (FedEx U.S. terms). See why this store does not use FedEx.

Is a signature required?

Answer

No. The 21+ check happens at checkout, before shipment, and the research found no competitor requiring an adult signature at delivery. Checkout shows USPS and UPS rates only. The full policy is on how this store ships.
