MGM-16

Updated:

Definition

9-fluoro-dihydro-7-hydroxymitragynine, a federal Schedule I substance at any concentration since 2026-08-26 under 91 FR 54948, scheduled alongside MGM-15 and mitragynine pseudoindoxyl before it was commercially marketed. Never carried by this store.

MGM-16 is a fluorinated analog of MGM-15. The 2026-08-26 temporary order placed both, with mitragynine pseudoindoxyl, in Schedule I at any concentration, codified at 21 CFR 1308.11(h)(89) to (91) (91 FR 54948). DEA described the three as "produced through synthetic modifications of purified isolates."

Trade press at the time reported that MGM-16 was not yet commercially marketed, which makes its listing an example of pre-emptive scheduling. The reissued notice of 2026-10-14 keeps the no-threshold approach and cites an HHS letter of 2026-10-06 recommending no threshold for the two MGM compounds (91 FR 65381).

The store's regulatory class kratom_mgm15 covers both MGM compounds and is refused by the checkout and the kill table in every jurisdiction.
