Seventeen jurisdictions as of 2026-10-20: Alabama, Arkansas, California, Connecticut, the District of Columbia, Indiana, Kansas, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, North Dakota, Ohio (extract only), Rhode Island, Tennessee, Utah, Vermont and Wisconsin, plus Kentucky from 2027-07-01 and a city and county layer (Noble Tea & Kava list for comparison).
Why seventeen and not ten?
Ten states ban kratom by statute or rule. The other seven are closed for different reasons: California by health department enforcement, North Dakota by executive order, Rhode Island and Utah because lawful sales run only through in-state licensees, Ohio because its rule covers extracts (leaf still ships), the District of Columbia as a precaution where trackers conflict, and Maryland because its regulator requires "affirmative amounts of BOTH mitragynine and 7-OH" on the label and rejects ranges and less-than signs (Maryland ATCC).
How does the list compare with other sellers?
The most current published list, verified 2026-10-04, excludes the same fifteen states and DC, ships leaf only to Ohio, and ends Kentucky on 2026-12-31 (Noble Tea & Kava). This store adds Maryland and keeps Kentucky open to its statutory date, 2027-06-30.
What about cities and counties?
