Speciociliatine

Updated:

Definition

A minor kratom leaf alkaloid quantified on some potency reports. The extract tablet reports linked from this store show it at 0.13 to 0.15 percent of mass, about 1 mg per tablet, beside 57 to 70 mg of mitragynine. Its presence is one marker that an extract came from leaf.

Speciociliatine is one of the minor alkaloids of Mitragyna speciosa. On PharmLabs reports SD260424-137 to -139 it is reported at 1.32 to 1.54 mg per gram, 0.92 to 1.09 mg per tablet, with a limit of quantitation of 0.011 ppm (NarcoBrands COAs).

Minor alkaloids matter on a report because they distinguish a leaf-derived extract from a converted product. A 2026 journal study of eight products sold as "kratom extract" found 22 to 75 mg/g of 7-hydroxymitragynine, 2 to 6 mg/g of mitragynine and an absence of the other leaf alkaloids, a profile that cannot come from leaf (Kratom.news summary). A report that shows mitragynine in the tens of milligrams with speciociliatine and, where measured, paynantheine and speciogynine alongside it reads as leaf.
